MAINE COON CATS COLORS
Maine Coon Cats are the most adorable and intelligent cats in North America with origin going back to centuries. These cats are famous for mainly two purposes one of them is their beauty and their brains. These creatures have sharp tufty ears, with large colorful eyes, full coat, and a long fluffy tail. The groups in which Maine Coon cats have been divided are Solids, Tabbies, Tabbies with white, Tortoiseshells, Smoke, Shaded, and Shaded with white, Bi-color, Parti-color and Ticked Tabbies. SOLIDS
Solids are strong colours of Maine Coon on the whole of skin with no patch, stripes or any other color combination with them. Solid colors give the cat a distinct look and help them stand out because of the color and fluffy coat combined. The solid colors found includes white, black, brown, cream, blue and shades of blue-gray. The color throughout the body will remain uniform, and there will be other color seen anywhere.
TABBIES
The color description of tabby is the most known type of Maine Coon cats. These are tabby markings or stripes on the upper fur or the lower undercoat. Depending upon which type of strips are present and which colors are present on the base for the stripes, different variety of color combinations can be found in Maine Coons Cats.
Depending on the types of stripes, tabbies are divided into three classifications as Mackerel Tabby, Classic Tabby or Patched Tabby Pattern.
SMOKE
Smoke is a cat with solid colors but some amount of fade on the undercoat. These cats look like solid cats only, but when you move the hands on the inside of the fur, the undercoat will look lighter in color. Many of the smoky cats have fade on their chest part as well, and we can look it when the cat is sleeping upside down or playing.
TABBIES WITH WHITE
Tabbies with white are the classification where the cats have same features as tabbies with white chest and paws. The classifications among them are Brown Tabby white, brown patched tabby white, silver tabby white, silver patched tabby white, red tabby white and patched tabby white.

TORTOISESHELLS

SHADED
The shaded cats have a solid color with a shade of a combination of the color present to make it look appealing. The same category also has shaded with white in which the color on the chest of the cat is white.

BLACK MAINE COON CATS
A black Maine Coon cat is dense black in color from head to toe. There is no rust or color on undercoat and no stripe of the patch. The nose is black though the paws can be a little brownish black. The black color is found in the solid black Maine Coons, which are just alluring and eye catching with dense black hair and brownish eyes. While some cats have thick black colors with a slight of the grayish area on the chest and the ear tufts. The undercoat can also be a little grayish, and that’s when the cat is said to have a smoky appearance.
Until the body has a white in it, it gets difficult to realize that the cat is pure solid black or a smoky one. Because the smoky cats have a different color on the undercoat, the smoky black cats appear to look black at first glance.

RED MAINE COON CATS
Red Maine Coons are the brightest of all the colors and are quite alluring for the audience. This color stands out while alone or with any other color combination as white, or any pattern of patches or stripes.
Red is the most important famous and most of the Maine Coon Cats are found in either red color or a combination of it. The color is not exactly red but somewhat a blend of orange with a ginger color. Many of the owners call the cats as Orange Maine Coon cats too.
The red Maine is mostly is found with red with white or red with tabby markings. Finding a solid red Maine is not very easy. The red Maine Tabby has golden or copperish eyes which go with the undercoat perfectly. The color of nose and paw is pink which a combination with red.
An interesting fact about Red Maine Coon cats is their gender. It has observed that 90% of all the red Maine cats are male. This is because of the strong color which cannot come to a female Maine Coon easily. The red color is always on the X chromosome that means that in a female the two X chromosome will combine to form a new color while in a male cat, the Y chromosome will give no color and therefore, the X chromosome will give a strong red color to the Maine Coon cat.
WHITE MAINE COON CATS
White Maine Coon cat is totally like an angel at your place. It’s the purest form of cats if found in solid white color with a pinkish effect on nose and ear tufts. Maine cats are adorable pets and don’t blend with the color of the environment.
White Maine Coon cat owners name with cotton, sugar or all the angelic white names.An interesting fact about White cats is the color ain’t a color gene but a masking gene and therefore, the color cannot be passed on to anyone else. CREAM MAINE COON CATS
The cream Maine Coon cats are a little like the white Maine coons but differ in their beautiful looks. The slightest cream color to the white Maine coon is the recipe to this amazing cat. BROWN MAINE COON CAT

This cat has a bright red color on the upper side of the body with a combination of shining silver on the middle to lower side of the body. SILVER MAINE COON CATS

BLUE MAINE COON CATS
Blue Maine Coons are a not exactly a color of blue but a shade of blue with silver touch to it. These are mostly found in solid colors and look perfect that way. BLUE-GREY MAINE COON CATS
Blue-grey Maine coons are a just beauty like blue Maine coon cats. These are a blend of gray into the upper blue Maine Coon. The shine is still the same, and they look perfect in solid colors but can be found in combination with different colors. When combined with other colors, the shine of the solid color dies and the combinations stand out. The ear tufts and the nose are gray or black in blue-grey Maine Coon cats.
BLACK AND WHITE MAINE COON CATS
Black and white colours of Maine Coon is bright and attention grabbing. The base color is black, but the chest and undercoat are white which gives it an entirely different look than any other cats available. The color is quite similar to what we see in other black-white combined cats, but the features along with these colors stand out prominently.
The area starting from between the eyes to chest to the legs is white and therefore the portion on the front side will appear to be black and white while that from sideways will look sharp dense black. The nose is pink in color, and the paws are mostly white. The eyes vary but are said to be of half color and doesn’t stand out because of the sharp body color.

Hi I’m getting a solid blue kitten that looks brown ? I did ask the breeder why isn’t he blue , she said he will be brown ontill his new coat comes then he will be a solid blue. I’m very confused because I just can’t see him going blue solid. Are kittens brown begin with?
